If you find it easier to watch exactly what to do, rather than reading, scroll to the very bottom of this article to find our video of this guide. Spoilers in the title and thumbnail of the video.
BEWARE: Spoilers lie ahead.
First of all, the first step involves discovering a password for the computer found in the main room. This password can be discovered by solving word guesses found on the back of newspapers and magazines throughout the cabin.
You can find them next to the couch, on the kitchen counter, upstairs by the TV, in the weapons room, next to the computer, and by the fire place.

Once you put the password into the computer under the Check for updates section, the cabin will update from 1.0 to 1.1, now adding a downstairs display room, searchable furniture, an inventory, the ability to crouch, as well as a working telephone.
Now, you’ll notice a board in the kitchen that has 4 empty slots. You will have to complete 4 different objectives in order to unlock patches for these slots. The first one involves recreating scenes from the ends of Part 3 and Jason Goes to Hell. Head to the Jason Goes to Hell diorama and grab the figures that are displayed on it. Then, head into the basement display room where the part 3 diorama can be found. Grab the figures off of this one as well. You’ll also need Chris’s figure which can be found in the bathroom with Jenny, inside of a box. Take all these figures and return to the part 3 diorama. Now, you just put the characters in the order you need to, starting from left to right with Ali, Part 3 Jason, and then Chris.
Then head back to the Jason Goes to Hell diorama, and from left to right add Jessica, Part 9 Jason, and then Steven. This will open a drawer beneath the display, revealing a patch. Please note that these dioramas can be done in either order. Go ahead and bring this patch to your inventory and then let’s move onto the next one.
The next step involves putting Jason’s mask in order, but first you have to find part 3, 7, and 9’s masks. Part 3's can be found in a box in the basement display room. Part 7's can be found in the tent, within a small box. Part 9's can be found in the fireplace, hidden in the chimney. Once all of these are collected, bring them to the wall where the other masks are displayed and collect those as well. Now you will put the masks in order from 3 to 9. Once these are in order, remove the part 5 mask. This will open a drawer next to the masks, revealing another patch. Collect this and let’s move on to the next step.
The next objective involves putting specific items on podiums found throughout the cabin. You will need the red bandanna found within the bathroom, an officer badge found within the basement display room, a yo-yo founding within the closet in the upstairs bedroom with the tent, inside a small box towards the bottom. Then, the hat that Crispin Glover wears in part 4 can be found right next to the front door on the coat rack.
Here are where these VHS tapes scattered around the cabin come into play. Slasher Vol. 1: Summer Camp is found in the weapons room, A Long Night at Camp Blood: Part II is found upstairs, in front of the couch, Star Mummy III: Dead Heir is found in the drawer next to the downstairs fireplace, and Roy’s Revenge: Part IV The Return of Reckless Reggie is found upstairs, under the TV.
When you put the "Summer Camp Vol. 1" tape into the VCR player, the tape is paused at the time stamp 00:15:51. If you go to that time stamp in the first Friday the 13th film, you will see Steve wearing the same bandanna you found in the bathroom. The rest of the tapes will reveal what order you need to put your items in.
Now, you will place these items on their respective podiums, labeled after the "12 Days of Christmas". Head back to the basement display room and put the bandanna on the podium inside. That podium has one pear above it (pear tree), which is inferring that is where the Part 1 item goes. Then, head upstairs and add the badge to the podium with two (calling) birds, found within the bedroom. From there, head into the item display room and add the yo-yo to the podium with three chickens (French hens). And then last but not least, head to the back door past the kitchen and add the Crispin Glover hat to the final podium, with the four singing birds (turtle doves). This will then reveal yet another patch. Collect it and let’s move on.
Now, the last patch was a tricky one to find out. You have to call a specific number on the phone. This involves finding several objects across the cabin with blue numbers displayed on them. These numbers will reveal a phone number. Here is how you figure it out...
There is a script of Friday the 13th (Part 1) that has a blue 1, meaning that the first number is 1. A potato sack has a blue 5 on it, in Friday the 13th Part 2 a potato sack was used as a mask, so the second number is 5. Friday the 13th Part 3 was in 3D, and the 3D glasses found in the kitchen drawer say “0005” in blue, which makes the third number a 5. Part 4 is the final chapter, the last chapter in the inferno lake book is chapter five. Fourth number is 5. Part 5 is a new beginning, there is a book titled a new beginning which says “3rd edition” in blue, which makes the fifth number is 3. Part 6, forest green county sign says “next 4 exits” with a blue 4, the camp was renamed camp forest green after part 5, the sixth number is 4 Part 7, the house catches on fire and explodes, there are two blue matches in the match book, the seventh number is 2. The New York poster says 009 in blue, as in Friday the 13th Part 8, Jason Takes Manhattan, so the eighth number is 9. Part 9, Jason goes to Hell, the Inferno Lake book, Chapter 2 is called “Stairway from Hell”, so the ninth number is 2. The Moonshine bottle says “X” which means 10 in Roman numerals, such as Jason X, there is a blue 7 on the bottom of the bottle. And, technically there are two Jason's in Jason X (Pre-Uber and Uber), so another 7 is the last number, to make up the whole phone number.
The number you want to enter on the phone is 1-5-5-5-3-4-2-9-2-7-7. After the call ends, the last drawer will open up, revealing the final patch. Now, head back to the kitchen and add all of the patches to the board.
Once this is complete, the wall next to you will slide away, revealing a secret room. This one being the Jason room.
You’ll hear a phone ring towards the end of the room. Go ahead and answer it, which will leave you with a final screen saying that you completed the virtual cabin. BUT WAIT, THAT'S NOT ALL! Load back into the Virtual Cabin again, and let's move on to Part...2?
Part 2: New Game Plus
Once loaded into "Patch 1.3 - New Game Plus", change the date in the computer to June 13, 1979, the date that the original Friday the 13th film took place. You will now hear the phone ringing once again from the Jason room. Head back down to answer it. You will then be greeted by a terrifying voice from Pamela Voorhees and will be led through a very exciting animation. Once you are able to move again, make sure you look at the axe stuck in the wall. This will leave your character in a temporary hazy state. Once back to normal, you’ll notice that part 3 Jason has broken free from his glass display, now on the loose.
Follow him upstairs to Chad and Buggzy, where you’ll find their dismembered bodies. From there, head back downstairs to the room where Kenny and Tiffany were hanging out on the hammock. You will now find Tiffany’s dead body, but if you look on the back of the door, you’ll discover Kenny’s body hanging from the door with a key around his neck. Take this key and then head back to the front door, which has now been destroyed by Jason, leaving you free to explore the outside.
Once out the door, head directly to the right where you’ll find a shed. Use the key you just found on Kenny to unlock the shed. Inside, you’ll find a shovel. Add this to your inventory and start heading to the graveyard. Inside the graveyard, you’ll notice Jason’s tombstone and a pile of dirt. Head to this pile, and use the shovel to dig it up. This will reveal a casket with part 6 Jason inside. From there, head to the right of the grave, where you’ll find a loose fence post. Take this post and head back to the grave. Use the post on part 6 Jason. This will cause a lightning strike to hit, which will resurrect Jason. After he kills you and you respawn, go back to the grave where you’ll find another patch.
After you collect the patch, head down the path from the cemetery. In the middle of the path, you’ll find a sign that will mark a side path away from everything else. If you head into the path, you have to be extremely careful with your movements, since Jason will come and kill you if you go off course. Once starting on the path, follow the machete on the ground to the right until you reach a tree with a heart and arrow with B+C on the inside. From there, turn left and head directly straight down the path until you reach a yellow arrow stuck inside of a tree. Turn where it appears the arrow was shot from. If you look closely, you’ll be able to see a duck on the ground.
Now, head straight at it. Once you reach it, turn directly to the left, where you’ll see a small dirt pile across the woods. Walk straight at it. Once you reach it, use your shovel to interact with the pile. You will now dig up the body of a dead dog (...Muffin?...), while also revealing another patch.
Now, for the final patch, you have to unlock a fridge found by the car next to the cabin. This was another tough one to find. Heading up the path to the shack, you will see a sign knocked over, in the streetlight, which seems to be pointing to some rocks on the ground. If you look at them from the path, it matches the pattern seen on the radio. Now, head to the radio, and match the needle with the rock pattern. You will hear a "morse code" type of sound, revealing the combination to the fridge lock, 5-3-1-2. Inside the fridge, you’ll find Pamela’s head. Collect it and then head towards Jason’s shack.
Interact with the shrine found inside and add Pamela’s head to it. this will then reveal the final patch. Now, head to the beach, where you’ll find a gas canister inside of a display. Interact with this display and add your 3 patches. This will now let you grab the gas.
Once you have it, take it to the boat and add it to the engine. You will ride off into the water, and as you approach the police, and certain safety, child Jason from Friday the 13th (1980) jumps out of the water and pulls you under. This is the first we see of child Jason from the first film in Friday the 13th: The Game.
You are now greeted with "Virtual Cabin Completed (again)". But wait, it’s still not over...
Part 3: New Game Plus Plus
Load back into the cabin once more, "Patch 1.6 - New Game Plus Plus". While into the cabin, use the Konami code to reveal the debug menu. The Konami code is up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A (O, X on PlayStation). On PC, use the arrow keys, and you can also left click, right click instead of B, A.
With the menu now in your top left corner, click on map collision. This will change it from ON to an unknown error. Then, click on Show Collision, which will change it from OFF to ON, revealing the collision items across the cabin. Then, head back to the basement display room, where you’ll find red door seen from before, but it’s now glitching. Simply, walk through the door and head into this random.
Now, I can’t really explain what you’re seeing here. Interact with the radio in the room, to hear this, then grab the two patches in the room. This will cause your game to glitch out and will reload the cabin, entering "Patch 1.7 - Warning Unstable Build".
Now, you’ll have to follow the trail of patches down the stairs, where Illfonic CEO Chuck Brungardt will be thrown through a window. Interact with his body to flip him over. After this, starting following the patches once again, which will lead you back to the Jason Room. Now, all of the displays will be broken and some Jason’s will be holding patches in their hands. Grab these from them, until the last one grabs you and kills you.
The game will now reload with the Jason room now lacking all Jason’s. Once again, follow the path of patches all the way upstairs to the coming soon door found on the second floor.
Now, you simply walk your way through the doors, and let the cut scene speak for itself...
So, there it is. Virtual cabin 2.0 completely finished, but more importantly, the epic reveal of Uber Jason and the Grendel Map.

It was announced back in March that Robert Englund and Lin Shaye would be starring together in a new horror film called The Midnight Man. Both Englund and Shaye continue to be loved by horror fans, so the project obviously had tremendous potential. Today, we officially get a look at the film with its brand new trailer!

At first, Alex and her friends think the game is harmless fun. It is—until The Midnight Man comes to play…for real. Back in March, it was revealed that John Carpenter's classic Escape From New York was set to be rebooted with Robert Rodriguez directing and Neil Cross set to pen the script. News has been quiet since, and we now know that Cross has been hard at work on the script.
Speaking with Deadline, Cross revealed the update on the script and Carpenter's approval on it.
Cross explained, “Robert Rodriguez is attached to direct and it’s looking good and exciting. It was quite a challenging script, it’s a challenging thing to reinvent. One of the most terrifying sentences I’ve ever heard in my life is ‘we’ve given the script to John Carpenter’. I crawled around for three days thinking ‘oh my god’ but we got John Carpenter’s seal of approval. He approved it and that’s all I need.”
Cross continued, “You never quite know [if it’s done] but I might need to do some rewrites and do some nip and tuck but in the first approximation, my job is done.”
Latest news says that the reboot will play out as a prequel to the original with John Carpenter still set to executive produce. Twentieth Century Fox is hoping to spawn an entirely new set of sequels.
Escape From New York (1981) synopsis:
In 1997, when the U.S. president crashes into Manhattan, now a giant maximum security prison, a convicted bank robber is sent in to rescue him.
